Financial content carries real responsibility. This policy explains, in detail, how we research, write, review, fund and maintain everything published on Investorium.
1. Education, not financial advice
Investorium provides general educational information about money, markets and investing. We do not provide personalised financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to buy or sell any specific product or security. Readers are responsible for their own decisions and should consult a licensed professional where appropriate.
2. Named, accountable authors
Every article is published under the name of a real, identifiable member of our editorial team, each with a bio describing the topics they focus on. You can review every author on our team page. Bylines are never anonymous or fabricated.
3. Sourcing standards
We build content on reputable, primary sources wherever possible, including:
- Official statistics and government or regulator publications — central banks, tax authorities and securities regulators.
- Company filings, prospectuses and primary financial disclosures.
- Peer-reviewed research and established academic sources.
- Reputable, independent financial-data providers.
We prefer primary sources over second-hand commentary, and we link to sources so readers can verify claims themselves.
4. Fact-checking and review
Before publication, every piece is reviewed by an editor for accuracy, balance, clarity and compliance with this policy. Factual claims and data points are checked against their sources, and more technical or sensitive topics receive additional review.
5. Use of research tools and AI
We use modern research and drafting tools to work efficiently, but editorial judgment remains human. An accountable editor is responsible for the accuracy and integrity of everything we publish — tools never replace fact-checking or editorial oversight.
6. Independence and how we are funded
Investorium is editorially independent; our conclusions are not for sale and are not influenced by any commercial relationship. At present the site carries no advertising. If we ever introduce advertising, sponsorship or affiliate links, such content will be clearly and prominently labelled and will never change our editorial conclusions. The site’s responsible publisher is named in the footer.
7. Conflicts of interest
Authors must disclose any personal financial interest relevant to what they cover. Where a relevant holding or relationship exists, it is noted on the article.
8. Corrections policy
We aim to get things right and to fix them quickly when we do not. Spotted an error? Email support@investorium.org with the article and the specific point. Material corrections are noted on the affected article with the date of the update.
9. Updates to this policy
We may revise this policy as the platform grows. The current version always applies to all content on the site.
